How to look for a pattern starting from yarn

Let’s picture yourself on a rainy evening, bored with your current project and looking for something fun and satisfying to knit.

For the sake of this post let’s say you are looking for something to knit with Malabrigo Arroyo.

Let’s begin to look!

  1. Go on Ravelry and on the top bar click on Yarn. Then click on advanced search.

2. Type Malabrigo Arroyo in the search box. The yarn you are looking for appear after you hit the search button. 3. From the yarn page, look at the bat just over the brand of the yarn and click on the tab Patterns.

4. Now you can see all the patterns that has been made with Malabrigo Arroyo. There are more then 700.

Here you have 2 choices:

A. Use the built-in page search, stating which kind of craft, pattern category you are looking for, and/or how many skeins you want to use. This feature about the number of skein you want to use is maybe one of the most powerful and useful!
B. You can choose to look for advanced search. Here is a post on how to use advanced search to look for patterns.
